ACADEMY DRESS CODE

Female Students:

All female students: Red
Company/Apprentice/Junior dancers: Black and Blue (Pictured)
All female students who participate in two classes a week: Black and Blue (Pictured)
All female students: Flesh colored performance leotard

Other dance wear for females:

  • Pink ballet tights

  • Pink ballet shoes

  • Black tap shoes

  • Black jazz shoes

  • Black sweater tights

  • Black or pink ballet sweater

  • Black or pink ballet skirt

Female Hair Requirements: All hair must be worn in a ballet bun for all classes (Levels 1 through Company Level). Preschool children may wear their hair in a ponytail or pigtails.

2026 – 2027 REQUIRED Academy Dancewear Available from Kinney Dancewear in Noblesville, IN

Pre-ordered leotards will be delivered on Academy Registration Day. A full complement of required dance wear (all leotards, shoes and tights) can be purchased during academy registration.

Male Students:

All male students: Black tights and white dance shirt

Other dance wear for males:

  • Black & white ballet shoes

  • Black dance shirt

  • Black dance shorts

  • Black tap shoes

  • Black jazz shoes

  • Tan dance belt

Kinney Dancewear will be onsite at the academy building to preorder leotards during Registration Day.

All dancers are required to have their hair up in a bun (preschool students may wear their hair in a ponytail). In cold weather, students may wear a pink or black ballet sweater or sweater dance tights during classes. Black dance skirts are also optional and permitted. Students are not allowed to wear sweatpants, t-shirts, or any street clothes during classes.

Below is a list of which color to wear on which day.

  •  Monday:
    Level 1, Level 3, Level 4, Level 5, Level 6, Level 7 = Blue
    Company, Apprentices, Juniors = Black

  • Tuesday
    Level 2 = Blue
    Level 6, Level 7, Company, Apprentice, Juniors = Black

  • Wednesday
    Preschool = Blue
    Level 6, Level 7, Juniors, Apprentice, Company = Single color choice or black

  • Thursday
    Preschool 1, Preschool 2 = Blue
    Level 3, Level 4, Level 5, Company = Black

  • Saturday
    Preschool, Company, Apprentices, Juniors = Blue
